3rd-8th Soccer

WSA’s 3-8th grade intramural program provides continued skill development and fun for every player. This program is endorsed by The Free Play Matters Task Force of Wilton Youth Council for its convenience, accessibility and format.

Depending on enrollment, 3/4th girls may be combined with 2/3rd girls or 3/4th boys for Saturday play. 5-8th play is coed.

Players participate in a weekday clinic and a Saturday morning game session.

Saturday games are organized at the field each week based on attendance, skill and age. These games are designed to be fun, free flowing and low stress. There no set teams for the season.

Program Schedule:

  • Tuesday Clinic (walk from school):

    • 3rd-5th BOYS / GIRLS (Cider Mill students): 2:30 - 3:45 PM @ Comstock Field. Please enter “Comstock” into School Dismissal Manager.

    • 6th-8th BOYS: 4:15 - 5:15 PM @ Allen’s Meadows (Field 4)

    • 6th-8th GIRLS: 5:30 - 6:30 PM @ Allen’s Meadows (Field 4)

  • Saturday Games: Times and locations subject to refinement based on final enrollment.

    • 3rd-4th BOYS and GIRLS: 9:00 - 10.00 AM @ Comstock Field

    • 5th-8th BOYS and GIRLS: 10:30 - 11.30 AM @ Comstock Field

Fall 2026 Key Dates

  • First day of clinics: Tuesday, September 8th

  • First game day: Saturday, September 12th

  • Last day of clinics: Tuesday, October 27th

  • Last game day: Saturday, October 31st

  • School holiday notes:

    • Columbus Day Weekend (Saturday, Oct 10) - there will be game day play as usual

    • Tuesday, October 13 - NO CLINICS

What Equipment Do I Need?

  • Uniforms: 3-8th players may order recommended practice/game shirts and other gear in our webstore HERE (please account for ~2 weeks lead time after you order)

  • Attire: All players should wear soccer appropriate attire to all activities.

  • Soccer cleats: All players should wear soccer cleats. Baseball/lax/football style cleats are not permitted, absolutely no metal studded cleats.

  • Shin guards: All players must wear shin guards under soccer socks (no shin guards, no play!)

  • Pumped up soccer ball: of appropriate size (Size 4 for 3/4, Size 5 for 5-8th grade) with name clearly marked

  • Water bottle with name clearly marked

  • Please note that you may purchase any of the above gear at Wilton Soccer & Rugby in Georgetown and receive a discount for being a WSA member.
