K, 1st and 2nd Soccer with MLS GO!

Wilton Soccer and MLS GO are excited to partner to deliver an even more fun, and more exciting soccer experience for every Wilton kindergartener, first and second grader.

MLS GO is is Major League Soccer’s recreational youth soccer program, dedicated to providing all participants with an accessible, fun and enhanced first soccer experience.

The program offers

• ~8 week season

• Leagues for each of K, 1st and 2nd grade Girls and Boys

• Weekday skills clinics (one hour per wk) led by WSA professional coaches leveraging the MLS GO Development Playbook

• Fun, Saturday morning, in-town games (3x3, 4x4 and 5x5) led by volunteer parent coaches with support of the WSA coaching staff

• Each player will receive a full MLS GO uniform representing the logos and colors of real MLS teams. The uniform kit includes a MLS GO reversible jersey, MLS GO shorts, and socks.

• Also included in the price of every registration is one ticket to an MLS game!

• Cost is ~$200-250 if you register on time, and depending on discounts you take advantage of (early bird, sibling etc)

Parent Volunteer Coaching:

Saturday games are led by volunteer parent coaches. No experience required!

• Coaching slots distributed on first to sign up basis (indicate interest in player registration)

• Coaches will be asked to complete required certifications

Registration:

• Rosters finalized and volunteer coaches assigned by Aug 30

• Uniforms distributed at first games

• Sign ups after Aug 10th may not be accepted, or be limited to participation in only weekday clinics (as team rosters may be full for Sat games) and/or your player may not receive a uniform due to lead times required to order.

Key Dates:

• First clinics: Week of Sept 1st

• First game: Sat, Sept 6th

• Last clinics: Week of Oct 27th

• Last game: Sat, Nov 1st

• Makeup policy: If 2 or more clinics are canceled during season, WSA will add one makeup clinic; makeup games will only be added at WSA discretion

• School holiday notes: No games on Saturday Oct 11th (Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend)

• Photo Day: Sat, Oct 4

• Junior Referee Training: Fri, Sept 5th, Time TBD @ Lilly North

• Volunteer Coaches Training: Sat, Sept 6th, game times @ respective fields
