Important Info Ahead of the Fall 2026 Season
Hi WSA Families!
The Fall 2026 soccer season is almost here! Please read the important information below and complete any action items.
Code of Conduct
Participation in WSA means players and families uphold the WSA Standards and Code of Conduct.
WSA has a zero-tolerance policy for violations. Please review the Code of Conduct with your player and anyone who attends games or practices.
Uniforms
Uniforms are unchanged from last season
New players should order uniforms through MyUniform / Soccer & Rugby - all should have received an email
Returning players can order replacement items as needed through MyUniform/Soccer & Rugby
If you haven't ordered yet, please do so immediately. Delivery can take 3–4+ weeks, and first games are Sunday, August 30
We also recommend purchasing cleats soon, as inventory becomes limited this time of year
Parent Zoom Meeting
A preseason parent Zoom meeting is planned for the August 19th at 8:30PM via Zoom. Details will be added to your team's PlayMetrics schedule.
PlayMetrics
PlayMetrics is WSA's communication platform for:
Team rosters
Schedules
Team messaging
Please update or reinstall the app, verify your player's profile, and add family members if needed. Coaches and team managers will use PlayMetrics for all season communications and schedule updates. The use of the mobile app eliminates thousands of emails and streamlines communications for WSA, managers and teams.
Practices
First practices: Week of August 24
Practice schedules and locations will be available in PlayMetrics soon
Parents on Duty (POD)
Each family will be assigned Parents on Duty a few times during the season for practices. PODs attend practices to assist coaches in case another adult is needed.
Team managers will assign POD dates
If you can't attend your assigned date, please arrange a swap with another family
Every practice must have a POD
Bus Transportation to Ambler/Hurlbutt
For teams practicing immediately after school:
Your player may begin using the bus to Ambler/Hurlbutt the week of September 8, but no sooner as as buses typically run late during the first two weeks of school
You must indicate your child’s bus plan on School's Dismissal Manager.
A POD must meet buses at the bottom of the Ambler driveway. If no adult is present, players will remain on the bus and be returned to school.
Players should be able to get themselves ready for practice with minimal assistance.
Cider Mill Students Practicing at Comstock
Indicate that your player will be walking to Comstock for soccer in School Dismissal Manager
Players should walk to the field and be met by a POD at dismissal
Players should get themselves ready for practice
Practice Gear:
Soccer ball
Shin guards (required) under socks
Soccer cleats
Water bottle
WSA practice apparel is encouraged - available when you purchase uniforms.
Jewelry
NO earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, or other jewelry may be worn during practices or games. This is a FIFA/CJSA rule. Taping over earrings is not permitted.
