CT Cup Rundown

WSA teams are participating in this Fall’s CT Cup, a single elimination statewide tournament to crown a champion in each age group.

The winner of the Cup has the opportunity to participate in National tournament play.

Here is a rundown of WSA teams’ play so far in the Cup. We couldn’t be more proud of the efforts of players, coaches and parents too, as our boys and girls take on some of the best teams from across their respective age groups.

Girls 2015 Blue

Won their opening match vs. Westport in penalties. Unfortunately thwarted in their second round game by a very formidable Avon side via a very late OT goal as time expired.

Girls 2014 Blue

Won their opening match at East Granby in convincing fashion 5-0. Will take on Suffield at home in round two.

Girls 2013 Blue

Traveled upstate to play a very strong Simsbury side, unfortunately coming up on the short end of the scoreboard.

Girls 2012/2011 Blue

Opens it CT Cup next weekend in a road match vs. Glastonbury.

Boys 2015 Blue

Took down a strong Simsbury side by a score of 5-0. Awaiting winner of Darien and New Milford in the next round.
