Welcome Coach Kai to our WSA Team!
WSA is excited to announce the appointment of Coach Katie DiDio (“Coach Kai”) to our full-time professional staff to lead our K-2nd team while also supporting development across all ages.
A native of the Dominican Republic, currently an assistant coach for her home country’s women’s national team which is competing for a place in the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil
As a youth, played soccer, basketball, softball and ran track and field embodying WSA’s commitment to multi-sport athletics
On the soccer field, she earned All-State honors twice, All-Conference four times and has been inducted into her High School’s Hall of Fame
At Southern Connecticut State University, she was a four-year starter on the women’s soccer team where she holds numerous records and went on to serve as Lead Assistant Coach
WSA families may know Coach Kai from her time as a beloved travel coach for a number of our girls teams
WSA Director of Coaching Dave Nuttall shared,
“Katie is an amazing person with a passion for teaching children the game of soccer. Her experience coaching and playing at all levels combined with her love for Wilton and our program, made this a perfect opportunity for her and WSA.”
Coach Dave leads a staff that is among the most experienced in our area, the State of Connecticut and beyond.
Coach Dave has 18 years of coaching experience, including time at all levels of college soccer. He holds a Masters Degree in “Leadership in Sport” as well as B level licenses from UEFA (Germany, among the highest levels one can attain), England and USSF. He is also a certified coach educator for US Soccer. In addition to working with WSA, Coach Dave is the Head Varsity Women’s Coach at John Jay High School.
