2026 WIN Tournament

Notes on Upcoming Season

  • Field Setup Day will be Saturday, March 28th, 9AM. Meet at Allen’s Meadows storage container. Sign up here. Should take only about an hour if we have a few volunteers from each age group.

  • First league games are April 12. WPS Spring Break spans April 11-18. Please indicate in TeamSnap calendars and inform managers ASAP if your player will be away/not available for one or both of these games so they may plan accordingly.

  • WIN tournament weekend is here. Below are reminders for all.

Uniforms

  • All players should bring their white and blue jerseys to WIN

  • U9-10 age groups are playing indoors on gym floors - NO cleats

  • U11-15 age groups are OUTDOORS ON TURF and should wear cleats and dress appropriately for weather

  • NO jewelry or earrings are allowed, tape over earrings also NOT allowed (must be removed for play)

Between Tourney Games:

  • Tournament has a concession stand

  • Cheer on the other Wilton Soccer teams who may be playing nearby

  • Keep an eye on your players — coaches and managers are not responsible for your player between games

Tourney Reminders:

  • Arrive ~20 mins before start time for each game, find your coach or manager

  • Games are tightly scheduled and will start and end promptly

  • Coaches may be running from game to game, so parent/manager support on getting teams prepared to play and warmed up is appreciated

Remember:

  • This is a kick off tournament for all of our teams

  • Format is 6x6 and games short/running time

  • Many teams are getting back together after winter off - as such, the goal is to get re-connected, get some touches on ball and do our best

  • Coaches will rotate players in and out and it’s likely players will sample different positions on the field at this event - expect equal playing time regardless of game situation

  • As always, DO NOT engage with referees for any reason, cheer positively for the team

  • Tournament competition varies widely - it is difficult to align teams perfectly in just a few divisions. We may win by a few or many, lose by a few or many. We are not looking for results, but rather experience. That said, very sure the players will compete hard and do their best… and many will have success.

  • Read again our WSA Code of Conduct. Please represent our Town, our teams, your players and our program in a manner we can all be proud of.

Thanks for your support, have a blast!
