• Players born

  • 2016-2015 (U9-U10) - 2017s may try out, but will only be allocated to a team if 1) space available AND 2) they are ready for the physical/competitive level

  • 2014-2013 (U11-U12)

  • 2012 - 2011/2010 (U13-U15)

Tryout Format:

• 60-90 min sessions, must participate in both sessions to be considered for a team in the age group (note 2016s/U9s have one optional pre tryout session and one required session, all others have two sessions)

• Players assessed in four basic areas:  

  • Technical - ability to perform soccer specific skills appropriate for their age 

  • Tactical - awareness of game around them relative to the objective

  • Physical - balance, coordination, agility, speed, endurance

  • Character - attitude of a player, focus, leadership, on and off field communications, desire, work-ethic and more.  

  • A player’s desire to learn and to be a great teammate is viewed favorably in all cases.

Tryout Attire / Equipment:

• All players should wear a white/light colored t-shirt, dark shorts (blue, black), soccer socks over shin guards and cleats

• All players should bring inflated soccer ball of appropriate size, water

• NO devices/phones at the field

Tryout Day Parent Reminders:

• Players should arrive at least 10 mins prior to start time for check in

• Parents are NOT permitted to watch tryouts: please respect the process and your children and leave site after drop off / check in. Return 5 mins before session end time for pick up.

• For current Travel players, tryout schedule replaces regular practices during the tryout week(s) - if your player is NOT trying out for next year’s teams, they should NOT attend tryouts

• Injuries and Conflicts: To report an injury or a conflict for consideration please fill out the online form HERE

• Results of tryouts will be communicated in subsequent weeks on a rolling basis - the goal is to place as many players as possible in environments whereby they can be challenged and grow
